The Dances of Madagascar performance was a fun and interactive way to wrap up Black History Month at the Toronto Public Library. The Tsingory Dance Troupe were professional, lovely, and it was a pleasure learning about Malagasy culture from them.

Avalon O'Connor Audience member at the African Women Artists festival June 15, 2013 Tsingory Dance participated in our annual Emancipation Day Celebration performing a wonderful program of music and dance. They delighted the audience with their colourful costumes and dance moves and their musician was magical! Inviting the audience to participate at one point created a wonderful connection with the music. The audience was captivated.

A record sized crowd was treated to a lively presentation of the dances of Madagascar, where every dance tells a story about this country's rich heritage. The heady drum beats and celebratory atmosphere was infectious. Attendants got to join in afterward and learn more about the instruments and dance techniques of the Malagasy people.
